Giving Back – A Meditation Series

One morning as we sat around drinking coffee post YinYoga, the idea emerge of creating a meditation series came about. One thing led to another and before you know it we have created {so easily} a Giving Back.

The teachers from Yin Yoga Napier and an invited guest teacher have gotten together to offer *Giving Back – A Meditation Series* in exchange for koha of a food item or child’s present in which we will be donating to the Napier Foodbank. It is an offering from our YinYoga Napier community to the Napier community at large.

We would love you to share this post, with someone, somewhere. It will make a difference to many at a time of the year when we ALL yearn for some quiet space, and yet at the same time to be able to give to another.

Our descriptions are simple, our hearts are full with anticipation. We K N O W that you will experience some peace within. AND if you are stressed, over-running your own knowing, then one hour a week is a small amount of time to give to yourself or to enable another who would benefit. This is Giving and Receiving.

Each class is different, with a theme and an invitation to explore meditation through many styles.

It is koha per class, please bring either a:

Non-perishable item
A wrapped gift for either boy or girl {indicated on package}

Monday 17th November 11-15am -12.15pm – Kate

I will be offering Yoga Nidra

Wednesday 26th Nov 7pm – 8pm – Rachel
My offering will begin with  movement and settle into chakra exploration
Monday 1st Dec, 11am -12pm – Jill
I will offer classic seated breath awareness meditation and a lying down “body scan” meditation that focuses on body sensations. Both are drawn from the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction programme.
Wednesday 10th, 7pm – 8pm – Carol
I will be offering a dynamic moving meditation
Wednesday 17th 7pm -8pm – Helen
I  will be offering a meditation around the Bandhas.
